About Company:

The institute was then known an Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) which functioned with five departments, namely the Agriculture, Cattle Breeding, Chemistry, and Economic Botany & Mycology. Bacteriology unit was added in the 1907. The journey of the Indian Agricultural Research and Institute (IARI), popularly known a Pusa Institute, began in the 1905 at Pusan (Bihar) with is generous grant of 30,000 pounds from an American philanthropist, Mr. Henry Phipps. Following devastating earth quake on 15th January 1934, the institute the shifted to the New Delhi on 29th July 1936. Post independence, the institute has been renamed an Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI).
